With great pride, I am delighted to announce that Nepal Micro Insurance Company Limited (NMIC) is the first non-life micro insurance company to get the operating license from Nepal Insurance Authority (NIA).

This pride comes with bigger responsibilities. We, as a company look forward to fulfilling these responsibilities by constantly building value for the customers, employees and stakeholders in all circumstances, complying to the regulations for operation of non-life micro insurance company in Nepal.

Over the past few years, Nepal has witnessed various natural calamities, global issues, pandemic, and many ongoing issues that have hugely impacted and continue to impact the country’s economic state. In present-day- context while the growth of non-life insurance industry is higher than life insurance industry, these adverse situations have affected the livelihood of many, especially the lower income citizens as the exponential growth of non-life insurance industry is due to larger contribution in this growth by mandatory vehicle insurance scheme. The contribution of other insurance coverages is very limited as compared to vehicle insurance.

I believe with our genuine effort, NMIC services will enrich lives of every people that we touch!

I am confident that our organization will grow to be the pioneer Micro insurance company and we will thrive to become one of the best and the most socially conscious organization in Nepal.
